CLOAS - Computational Life Office Administration System is an application
software product used by Genworth Financial, has been customized to meet
Genworth's business requirements. CLOAS administers policy/agents for issue
of new insurance policies, provides facilities to service the existing
policies, manages the financial applications, keeps track of agents and
their commissions, processes claims etc. The project involves enhancements
to the existing system to meet emerging user needs. In addition it involves
System Support for night time batch jobs and daytime online system,
resolving user query, troubleshooting bugs.
Other systems like APECS and CPP are peripheral mainframe applications used
at Genworth for abandoned property escheat control and claims payments.
TAI is another system that administers the reinsurance treaty information.
This system extracts policy information from the admin system like CLOAS
periodically and builds cession records based on the policy values and the
treaty parameters.
