2007-2009 Caterpillar Cary, NC

Master Scheduler for Sagami, Japan plant. Track type tractors and mini-hex products are

produced at this facility. Took advantage of my Japanese language ability to greatly improve

communication with plant team.

• Developed scheduling plans for 2 different product lines to assure accurate and timely

product availability for worldwide distribution. Avoid excess inventory and associated

costs to the company. Use JIT inventory methods.

Hosted, scheduled, and presented monthly teleconferences for 5 international sales

and operations meetings for the executive level leadership team.

Coordinated, collected and reported necessary data for long term capacity planning for

2 product lines and reported results to the executive managers. Plants were located in

Japan, China, and England.

Designed and implemented procedures for bringing new global distribution centers on-

line. Distribution Centers assure correct Caterpillar product mix is available for timely

delivery to end users. Provides competitive advantage and increased customer

• Supply chain management for local GPDC (General product distribution center). In

charge of maintaining correct inventory levels at the distribution center and forecasting

future product sales. Worked with Peoria, IL based marketing division to interface with

Cat dealer personnel.

Implemented lean manufacturing and ergonomics for production facility

Designed and implemented new technology for production facility. Dry leak testing of

machines which produced lowest leak rates in history of the Backhoe machines

produced in Clayton, NC.

Implemented cab testing equipment to ensure correct build and to reduce trouble

shooting time for problems which resulted in 35% less rework time for machines and

improved cycle times for building tractors.

Team leader for FMEA (failure mode effect analysis) and CDIM (corporate discipline

issue management).

Responsible for maintaining parts lists for the consumption of parts used in building

Developed and assisted with plans for industrials engineers to set-up plant in India for

backhoe production
