Job Description Summary:
The City President assumes personal responsibility for meeting and
exceeding all branch and personal performance objectives for their assigned
market areas. I aggressively marketed financial solutions with a goal of
winning new clients and expanding existing relationships. Conduct
relationship reviews with business and affluent customers and prospects,
and identify, sell or refer appropriate financial solutions including loan
products, deposit products and other offered services. Develop prospects by
making sales calls, qualifying prospects, and converting prospects to
clients. Develop and maintain effective referral sources. Develop and
maintain a strong working knowledge of all relevant bank products and
services. I coordinated with Loan Administration to support the volume,
quality, profitability, compliance and risk exposure of my loan portfolio.
Aid in strategically assessing the risk profile of relationships and help
define relationship plans accordingly. Prepared and analyzed financial
statements and spreadsheets to determine risk assessment. I participated in
community development activities that contribute to business development
efforts. Work closely with the branch officers to ensure bank policies and
procedures are followed. Lead, coach, and develop a team of bank officers
and staff to meet the objectives of the banks core values by striving to
remain approachable, show respect and gain the trust of our clients. The
City President also sits on committees as assigned by the board of
directors annually.
Twenty-four+ years of work bank management experience has provided me with
knowledge of accounting or auditing principles. Such work includes
reviewing, analyzing, recommending or approving loan applications,
investments, and other actions involving the properties or monies of
others; understanding of debits and credits, balance sheets, and operating
statements. Accept responsibility for all corporate goals and proactively
apply enthusiasm, knowledge, and sound practice in achieving them. Extended
credit to small businesses and/or individuals through a wide variety of
commercial, installment, and/or real estate loans. Enthusiastically
implemented all sales initiatives, communicated about them to other
associates, lead efforts to meet or exceed established goals and follow up
with reports on success.
I represented the Bank in the community. Utilized memberships and
participation in community networks to develop and promote additional
business. Identify and join community groups in which the Bank should be a
member. Leverage opportunities with key business partners. I assisted
coordinating bank associates' involvement with groups that can strengthen
their prospect lists and have a strong impact on the community. I worked
with all market team members to carefully select meaningful ways that
associates can serve while avoiding duplication. Ensure an upward flow of
information from associates to managers about high-priority community
efforts.

Managed 24+ subordinates in the Banking Center. I was responsible for the
overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the subordinates. I
carried out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities included
interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and
directing work; performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining
associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Managed and/or delegated all operational functions of the Banking Center
including
a. Evaluate and address concerns of clients in order to exceed clients'
service and satisfaction expectations.
b. Contribute to the development of each bank associate in his/her role(s)
by identifying and implementing activities that support their continuous
learning.
c. Manage expenses effectively at the branch level.
d. Exercise typical authority of a manager concerning personnel functions
such as staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary
recommendations, and terminations.
e. Maintained security controls to protect the facility against criminal
and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure.
f. Implement policies, procedures, and programs designed to meet regulatory
and corporate objectives.
