Achievements:
Established a market research division for Minneapolis recruiting and
placement company. Located and interviewed candidates for professional
positions for agricultural businesses (Market Research and Ag Chem ), found
the president of Rockwood Research, and also made our company's largest
placement during its second year of business. Negotiated salary contracts
between employers and candidates.
Provided corporate and personal financial planning services to clients.
Completed successful succession plan with necessary "key-man insurance" and
financial documents for six owners of a multi-million dollar business.
Established strong relations with the ag-community as a U of MN extension
agent. Scheduled and coordinated successful meetings between U of MN
professors and East Central Minnesota production-agriculture members.
Located and booked key influential outside speakers that brought increased
interest and response to these sessions.
Owned and Operated a dairy farm that increased production 20% per year,
doubling revenue in five years. Managed all assets and cash flow,
controlled inventory, personnel, maintenance of equipment and facilities,
utilities, seed and fertilizer, government regulations, construction,
transportation, taxes, insurance, and land management.
Managed the sales, inventory and warehousing of parts and accessories for a
John Deere dealership. Developed a strong repetitive customer base through
accessible technical support and immediate availability and delivery of the
required products.
Supervised a production crew of a major construction company and carried
out, on time and within budget, projects which included commercial
construction sites such as the 104,000 sq. ft. access floor for the
Minnesota Retirement Office, and the 250,000 sq. ft. Orville Freeman
Building.
