Registered Pharmacist: I am a Pharmacist with over 5 years of
retail, marketing experience and many years experience in

Retail: Managing technicians, providing quality assurance and
accuracy of product. Responsibilities involved patient
counseling and education, drug monitoring and information,
contacting Physicians regarding questions or problems with orders
and assisting staff. Work to provide excellent customer service
by building and maintaining customer relations while providing a
caring environment for patients.
Home infusion: Working independently and being responsible for
your own set of patients and follow-up. Responsibilities
included obtaining orders, calculating doses, obtaining labs
while monitoring and coordinating patient care with Nursing and
Physicians and maintaining JCAHO standards. Arranging
deliveries, programming and teaching proper use of various IV
pumps, as well as managing an IV room. Therapies including TPN,
antibiotics, chemo, pain, hydration and enterals.
Hospital responsibilities involved independently managing a
satellite Pharmacy on patient floors. Providing a team level of
care with Physicians and Nursing staff, answering questions and
providing drug information. Working and following hospital
guidelines and reviewing Hospital Formulary requests. Tasks
involved processing, calculating and checking orders for
accuracy, dispensing narcotics and preparing all first doses of
IV's (non-chemo.) Weekend coverage involved supervision of IV
admixture room and/or rotating shifts to cover various satellite
stations.

vOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Houston Hospice: A rewarding experience where I
volunteer at the in-patient facility. I sit with
patients, sometimes reading aloud to them or listening
to their story. Other times, providing comfort by
simple holding their hand and sitting quietly. I also
visit with family members and often answer questions
about hospice care.
TMO (The Metropolitan Organization) Community Leader:
worked on Healthcare issues affecting lower income
families. Meet with Harris County Hospital District
CEO and BenTaub President to discuss Health care
issues in the Houston area. Trained and organized
CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) sign-up
days and worked to have changes made in enrollment
rules.
OTHER: Girl Scout/Cub Scout Co-Leaders, swim team
stroke judge, coordinated Sunday lunches for Parish
Priests for 4 years, Co- Chaired food and beverage
committee for Church Mardi Gras fundraisers for 3
years, Co-Captain MS-150 cycling team. MS-150 is a
major fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in
Texas. It is a 2-day event, where participants
bicycle from Houston to Austin, TX. Each participant
must raise money individually and be on a team. My
responsibilities as a Co-Captain involved raising
funds to support the team (food, transportation to
start, overnight shelter), designing and ordering bike
jersey's, finding volunteers and organizing training
rides.
