Project: GUI for Spectrum Smartpumps
April 2010 to present
Designation: Software Engineer
Sigma Spectrum Infusion pump is an Adverse Drug Error Prevention system.
The Spectrum is a self-contained microprocessor controlled device for
infusion of fluids used in IV therapy at user selectable rates and volumes.
It is multi-functional, using a common Graphical User Interface and Master
Drug Library (MDL) for all infusion modalities.
Responsibilities:
. Designed, developed and implemented code in C/C++ for user graphical
interface (GUI) parameters created GUI prototypes. Display parameters,
the GUI display includes user prompts, user set up information,
operating information, history information and error messages.
. Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and integration testing during
the stages of the life cycle.
. Actively involved in debugging using Static analysis tools and in-
circuit emulator JTAG with AXD debugger. Analyzed the risks and
severity of bugs by risk/hazard analysis and performed code reviews
for all projects
. Knowledge of using and configuring version control
. Developed test plan and test cases manually for conducting Unit and
Regression tests for validation of features.
. Followed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or ISO 13485 Quality
Systems Regulations and Design Control processes such as traceability
matrix, peer review and test report logging
. Participated and contributed to generation and maintenance of quality
documentation such as Design Description Plan, Engineering Report,
Software/Hardware Design Description, Project Design Review, Hazard
Analysis and all phases of Verification and Validation.
