General Manager 2009-2011
Responsible for the initial startup of Northwest Arkansas’ newest recycling operation. Responsibilities
included P&L statement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, maintenance, and productivity.
Directly responsible for raising monthly sales from $100,000.00 to $500,000.00 in the first 10 months of
operations.
• Directly responsible for establishing benchmarks for all production employees, to track
their daily productivity. This resulted in raising sales and decreasing costs with improved
employee morale.
• Directly responsible for all contractual agreements with new and existing customers.
• Established new shipping and receiving procedures, which decreased loading and
unloading time, on all inbound and outbound shipments
• Initiated and helped establish a monthly sustainability report for all customers that
documented the savings in kilowatts, trees, cubic yards of landfill, pounds of air pollution,
and gallons of water saved.
• Helped establish Advantage Recycling Inc. as one of the premiere recycling companies in
Northwest Arkansas in a period of 11 months instrumental in teaming up with Oakleaf

Continued forward progression with this leading provider of consumer electronics reverse logistics.
Responsibilities included managing P&L, safety, quality, production, shipping and warehousing for
multiple locations totaling 350,000 square feet and employing 400+ employees, reported directly to the
company President.
• Led efforts to become ISO 9000:2001 certified by streamlining and documenting work
instructions, processes and contractual agreements to maximize operational efficiency.
• Responsible for raising sales from $10 million to $30 million by driving successful
opening of three new facilities and closely monitoring daily operations of all locations.
• Took the initiative to implement a safety department and hire a Safety Director, efforts
significantly reduced-on-the-job injuries.

Challenged to open a new 120,000 square-foot facility and manage all operational areas including 75
personnel. This was a complete startup operation which included establishing production lines, hiring and
training personnel, initiating and developing quality departments, inventory control procedures, safety
departments, shipping and receiving procedures, purchasing and maintenance.
• Measured and documented initial startup results, then reduced costs by instilling
accountability in department heads by establishing benchmarks, initiating procedures,
measuring results and devising goals based on time studies of each production line.
• Headed comprehensive startup of all production lines, and documented processes to
standardize results.
• Achieved profitability in record time, which resulted in being reassigned to Plant Manager
of the Indiana facility as well as the New York facility.

• Brought in to revitalize a poor performing 50,000 square foot facility. All 75 employees
were terminated, then interviewed for rehire. Rehired 10 personnel, and rebuilt the facility
with high caliber employees.
• Achieved accountability within 6 months and was assigned to open a new state of the art
facility on Johnstown, New York.
