Experiences

October 2009 - March 2011: DSP Engineer, Wavesat Inc.,

Sunnyvale, CA

DSP coding, integration and test. Evaluate and implement algorithms in

Matlab/C and port to DSP (multi Coolflux DSP core SOC). Integration test of

DSP against Matlab models. Project includes MIMO channel SNR calculation,

RI & CQI calculations. Tools: Bazaar/C/Matlab/

August 2006 - January 2009: Principal DSP Architect, Aptina

Imaging, LLC, San Jose, CA

Review of Matlab based algorithms and implementation in DSP (TI DaVinci)

platform. Reviewed and implemented Aptina's EDOF(Extended Depth of Field)

algorithm. Other DSP mappings include; Face Detection algorithm, HDR tone

mapping, noise filtering by Bi-lateral filters, adaptive Wiener filters,

Multi-frame image enhancements by affine mapping (using ARC SIMD

instruction set) and Custom Instruction Set development on ARC processor.

Integration of DSP codes into embedded Linux (MontaVista) through TI Codec

Engine API. Languages: C/C++(TI CCS, VS 2005, Eclipse) / Matlab/ Verilog

November 2004 - August 2006: R&D Eng, Sunrise

Development of DSP block in 7 GHz spectrum analyzer (TI 5510 Processor

/Code Composer). Proof of concept using Matlab/Simulink, Algorithms for

RBW/VBW filtering and windowing. RF control (multi-loop PLL ) algorithm

implementation for precision LO control (down to 1 Hz). Updated CPLD for

DSP & RF/Analog SPI interface (Xilinx FPGA/CPLD, Modelsim, Xilinx ISE).

Development of worlds first native multi-dimensional FFT algorithm and

Developed wavelet based algorithm & architecture for application to CMOS

image sensors; C program models and micro-architecture, 2-D wavelet
