show cost effectiveness of a car to customers based on their overall

cost. It has a GUI for gathering user info and displaying comparison

results to users.

. Designed and developed a middleware application prototype for network

traffic analysis. Developed business logic of the application that is

useful to monitor data on the network. This involved managing data

queues using threads to help monitor and transferring data from one

point to another.

. Developed scripts and programs to extract system data from WMI and

representing it in XML format. This helped to get system information

across networks for the system administrator.

Academic Projects

Deep Web Mining: Developed an application to detect errors on website.

Developed an application to mine information about football players and

teams. This is implemented using Java and Oracle as database.

Apriori Algorithm: Pattern analysis for retail transactions using Java. Web

mining using Yahoo API to get web pages and running a text mining algorithm

on it to get webpage relevance using Java.

K-means clustering algorithm: Implemented a K-means clustering algorithm

using Java. I implemented an application to calculate Hub and Authority

weights using Google web services and Java.

Data Modeling: Created Data Models to forecast the effectiveness of a mail

order campaign, also created a data model to forecast customer response to

changes in account balance requirements.

Software Quality Testing: Tested a text mining application using

methodologies like unit testing, robustness testing and usability testing.

Computer Security and Auditing: Auditing organization security policies and

their implementation. Penetration testing of company server for exploits

and loopholes. Tools like NMap, Metasploit and Backtrack were used for

testing. I also made suggestions to plug loopholes in their system.

Rail Transportation Scheduling System: Designed and implemented an online

rail transportation scheduling system using Oracle9i and Aqua Data Studio.

Advanced Database Management System: Gathered data about incidence of

diseases in various countries from W.H.O. website and stored it Oracle

database. Implemented a front end, using PSP and got results from Oracle

database using PL/SQL, stored procedures and triggers.
