* Performed a combat parachute assault on Bashur Airfield, Northern Iraq.
Completed successful linkup with local Kurdish Peshmerga fighters as a
member of a team of highly trained parachute infantrymen. Led a fire team
and made rapid decisions during raids and patrols in the city of Kirkuk.
* As a communications specialist in the Tactical Operations Center,
utilized encrypted voice and data communications channels to provide real
time intelligence to ground troops, allocating resources from various
classified government agencies. Effectively leveraged cutting edge network
technologies to deliver real time GIS solutions from distributed databases
to combat troops in kinetic operations.
* Trained and led an elite group of Afghan infantry and police over six
months as a member of a three man team. Utilized language competencies in
Urdu and French to liaise with Afghan and French commanders during combat
patrols in the highly volatile border region. Employed the full range of
psychological and military options to shape local opinion towards coalition
forces operating in the region.
* Supported the efforts of the civil affairs team on site by creating a
cadre of trained administrative specialists for the provincial government
and industry. Used proven force multiplication techniques to train teachers
who then led classes of 30 students. End result was a Microsoft Office
Specialist Certification for the 150 graduates of the program. Created
lesson plans and supervised teachers in the instruction of a course of
study leading from basic computer concepts to proficiency with databases

* Worked as a member of a small team to create interface functionality to a
database of academic information on the Salton Sea. Used Cold Fusion and
Microsoft SQL Server to rapidly deploy an application while maintaining an
independent test server.
* Collaborated effectively with academics and geographers to create a
technical specification for the product, maintaining EPA compliance through
the development cycle. Translated requirements into a technical
specification based on interviews in an iterative process during production
and testing of the site.
