Intern- Fatty Acid Distillation Plant Project

The project team conducted a study on Fatty Acid Distillation Plants and proposed improvements

which could have been incorporated.

The task was to suggest improvements to the Fatty Acid Distillation Plant (FADP 5) plant, which was

not giving the expected performance on scale-up in comparison with FADP 2, and changes to its

operating procedure.

This was successfully achieved along with predicted efficiencies of more than 99% in 3 weeks; well

before the deadline.

Moreover, over this period, the project team also conducted a study on three other plants.

LEADERSHIP WORK EXPERIENCE

Indian Student Association (ISA), Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO Aug 2009 – Aug 2010

Cultural Secretary

Worked with the Indian Association as a part of a team.

Organized four Indian festivals successfully at the School in a span of one year.

Presented a report and a presentation involving the conceptual design and the fabrication of plant to produce

100 TPD of Benzoic Acid under the guidance of Dr. V. K. Rathod, UICT, Mumbai.

Presented a seminar on “Cybernetic Modeling of Metabolic Pathways” after doing the literature

survey for six months under the guidance of Professor (Dr.) J. B. Joshi (Former Director of UICT).

Presented a report stressing on Strengthening of Cement concrete under the guidance of Professor

(Dr.) D. D. Sarode, UICT, Mumbai.
