Job duties include but not limited to:

Aid the pharmacist is the completion of medication orders written by doctors.

Answer telephone calls from nursing units pertaining to specific patients and or medications.

Refill the Pyxsis med stations and check for out of date medications.

Order or reorder supplies and medications through our organizations wholesaler.

Prepare IV admixtures such as batch antibiotics, critical drips, TPN/PPN using USP 797

guidelines.

Trained in Chemotherapy Admixture (2 years experience).

Trained in Surgical Pharmacy (O.R. Pharmacy experience 2 years)

Trained in retail pharmacy.

Assist in the implementation of McKesson Automation ( RobotRx and Med Carousel)

Responsible for unit-dosing medications to help in cost management.

Chemistry, GPA: 2.7

Attending Valdosta State University to complete prerequisites for pharmacy school.
