Professional experience
Research Assistant Worked for Dr. Angela Dougall. Duties included collecting
and entering data for experimental research. We are currently working on a
study that influences exercise behavior. We have designed interventions in order
to get people to lead a more healthy lifestyle.
Research Assistant Worked for Dr. Timothy Odegard. Duties included

Graduate Research Assistant did research under the guidance of Dr. Andy
Baum, researching social awareness and social stigmatization.
Graduate Research Assistant: Currently doing research under Dr. Timothy
Odegard. I am researching social awareness and social stigmatization, and have
designed a scale to identify individuals suffering from a lack of social
awareness. These people need help adjusting to life outside of the hospital. I
have learned much expertise in SPSS and Microsoft office. I have learned how
to identify brain structures on an mri and analyze a multitude of data, from
continuous variables to diffusion tensor imaging data.

Highlights:
I have entered and analyzed a multitude of data for The University of Texas at
Arlington in various labs. Currently, I have designed a scale of measurement to
identify people suffering from a lack of social awareness. These are people who
cannot adjust socially after traumatic events, such as those suffering from brain
injury or cognitive deficits. This scale identifies individuals who need help in
this area. I am currently designing social adjustment and awareness
interventions at UTA to help these people. My current study is pending IRB
approval. It involves identifying that some students might suffer from a lack of
social awareness. Social interventions are being designed to help non socially
aware college students (such as those suffering from a disability) adjust to
college life.
Areas of Expertise:
SPSS software and Microsoft software. Able to analyze data efficiently and
analyze behavior also. Graduate experience includes advanced statistics, the
study of memory and learning, cognitive psychology, drugs and behavior,
neuroscience, research methods, and health psychology.
Certifications:
Human Subjects Protection Training (HSP)
Responsible Conduct in Research Training (RCR)
