BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
Research Assistant in the microbiology lab at the University of South
Alabama, Analyzing biodegradation pathways of local water bacterial species
for their ability to degrade pharmaceuticals and pollutants.
A member of the 'Fourth R' research team at the University of Western
Ontario, concentrating on comprehensive and integrated approaches for
helping schools and communities reduce violence and risk-taking among
youth. Interacting with the professional community regarding the design,
participation recruitment, data collection/analysis, and presentation of
results.
Spearheaded the development of the "All Kids Belong Program" in South
Western Ontario ensuring the registration and incorporation of
developmentally and physically handicapped/disabled children in before and
after school programs, including the active education of these disabilities
in the program curriculum-promoting awareness, education, acceptance, and
