Objective
Work in an environment where integrity is essential and valued, with
opportunities to learn, grow, and apply knowledge and ingenuity; through
planning, design, and improvement of product or processes. Through my work
and collaboration I hope to enrich the workplace by identifying better
ways to complete tasks, maximizing available tools.
Summary Of Qualifications
0. Some of the process forms were difficult to read and fill out, causing
errors, through careful styling and planning I was able to prevent
mistakes and make sure that the process was followed every time.
0. Implemented automatic verification of inspection reports using Excel
with Visual Basic for Applications, which identified mistakes before a
Project Manager checks the document, saving them 3 hours per week.
0. Created programs that extended the functionality of our CMM software,
which allowed programs to be executed in different machines with minimal
modifications, saving 4 hours of programming per part.
0. Developed tools to improve the process of creating models and programs
in Rhino CAD software, for one specific type of part programming time
went down from 5 hours to 2 hours.
0. Large volume of data caused problems for Quality inspector, created
Excel program to read in information from the needed reports, compiling
all the data in one report for their use and saving 4 to 8 hours a week.
0. Personnel in an overseas branch needed training in OpenDMIS, effectively
trained and aided some programming through online web meetings, saving on
flight costs and keeping production running.
0. Some software packages were acquired in which we had no history, learned
programming languages specific to those packages finding uses others
could not see and saving money on outside training.
Recent Experience
Product Engineer / Project Manager July 2007 - Present
Turbocam International - Barrington, NH
. Manufacturing Process and Program Design
Create 3D models and/or milling programs that meet customer
requirements. Determine manufacturability.
. Quality Inspection Automation
Automating inspection reports as well as hands on experience measuring
parts, both manually and by using and creating CMM programs. Train
people to use these tools effectively.
. Lean and Continuous Improvement Implementation
Focus on standardization of processes around the plant. Coordinate
tasks needed to achieve these implementations.
