Description:
The application is used for AVIVA Insurance Company. The application is developed using Java/J2EE.
It uses Web sphere Message Broker V6.1 for integration between different applications. The project
uses SOA approach for better flexibility. The application consist application integration with database
and Mainframe application. The service elements will be integrated internally and externally using an
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) messaging infrastructure based around IBM’s Web Sphere and MQ
products. Integration will be supported by implementations of this messaging infrastructure in
Processes, Sub Processes and Services.
The solution will leverage AVIVA’s pre-existing ESB asset that has been developed and enhanced in a
number of deployments elsewhere, including the IBCollections ( using payment gateway services).
A number of pre-existing interfaces from the package will be used to provide external integration to
third parties involved in the Enforcement process. All other external interfaces will be routed through
and External Integration service component in Process. I am involved in developing message flows in
WBIMB V6.1 using the micro design, XML schemas and data model given by architect.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding the business requirements and the technical specifications of the application
• Development of message flows using WebSphere Message Broker for interface which work
in Process and Sub Process
• Designing and developing message flows, message sets along with ESQL coding.
• Developed XSLTs and Message Sets for different message flows.
• Deployment and unit testing of the message flows.
• Documentation of Activities has done.
• Used Flow Debugger for observing the behavior of message flows.
• Reusing the sub-flows, in order to avoid the rewriting of code. The various sub-flows include
Auditing, Error-handling, and Tracing etc
• Configured WIN CVS for maintaining versioning of message flows developed.

Project Abstract:
“Insurance Envoy” system is a web application, which is designed by a group of insurance
broker agents, to make their application work of insurance policies and claims process easier and
flexible. The web based application is used within their organization under the distributed accessibility
to check the status of the customers who have taken new policies and their proper track and
reminding of policy premium payments and claim conditions.
The system is actually developed to cater to the process speed up in their Business process
such that the customer satisfaction rates increase and the generic flow of customers into this domain
follows a smooth and steady fashion. The major problem under the manual process is to keep track of
the existing insurance policy holders, and reminding them at regular intervals about their policy
premium payments. If the process of data storage can be automated and follow up of search can be
increased, there is always a heavy chance of getting extra customers in turn, which can increase the
profits ratio upon the organization.
Responsibilities:
Designed and developed Controller, Model of application using Servlets, Java Bean
components.
Developed tag libraries to facilitate customization of JSP codes.
Implemented MVC design pattern for the application development.
Involved in writing user defined CSS & JavaScript for UI presentation and client
validations.
