Applications Specialist
As an application specialist for over 8 years at Seattle Housing Authority I had to provide timely and
accurate solutions to user requests, document all requests and resolutions, work effectively with internal
team mates and clients, educate features and functionality to customers, provide feedback to other
departments on issues relating to the system, contribute to knowledge sharing, taking on special
projects as required. Proficient in Office 2007 & 2010.
I was responsible for J.D. Edwards Enterprise One software (One World XE, service pack 23) and I also
provide support for 50 plus users which includes: security, technical hotline assistance, custom
interfaces to various modules, database purges, applying year end and other critical Electronic Service
Updates and cumulative Program Temporary Fixes, assist users in troubleshooting application
problems. Migration experience from J.D. Edwards World version A7.2 to A8.1 cumulative 2 on an
AS/400 (S20-2165). Modules include: General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Human
Resources, Payroll, some Inventory, and Fixed Assets. Taking lead role in the migration to J.D.
Edwards Enterprise One product (version B7333) which is currently in progress.
I share responsibility for installation, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration of Kronos
Work Force Central (version 4.3.8), Kronos Data Collection Manager (version 4.3.6), and Kronos
Teletime product (version 1.1.7), this includes service pack review, and installation for all three of these
products for over 600 users. Involved in writing specifications and writing interfaces with using the
Kronos Connect product to interface with J.D Edwards World product these interfaces include employee
time uploads, labor level downloads, and employee accrual uploads.
Administrator for Lotus Notes (Domino) version 5.0.12. Apply Lotus Notes server upgrades on an
AS/400, and desktop client upgrades. Support GWI help desk software (version 9.0.1a) which includes
user support, web interface, upgrades as well as technical support, assist in running help desk and
assist help desk users in questions about it.
Assist in managing a Sequel Server (Microsoft Sequel Server 2000). Database responsibilities include:
dropping, copying tables (using ETL tool) from multiple environments into a Sequel Server managing
indexes and permissions. Create daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly jobs which do all of these database
functions. User reports are generated using Crystal Reports (version 9) pointing at the Sequel Server
database via an ODBC connection. Sequel Server serves as a repository for centralized reporting
purposes.
AS/400 administrator, involved in migrating to new operating systems, V4R3 to V4R5, and V4R5 to
V5R2, applying quarterly cumulative updates. Establish user profile enrollment procedures for the
AS/400, and J.D. Edwards World product. Write custom Control Language programs which have
automated RTAPE backup procedures for daily, weekly and monthly backups. Maintain and create new
RPG and RPG IV programs based on user requirements, programs often interface with J.D. Edwards
World product.
