Dear Human Resources,
My objective is to obtain employment with CVS as a Retail Store Manager. I
am interested in this position because I believe it will allow me to
utilize the skills and knowledge that I gained while earning my Bachelor of
Science in Business Administration.
I believe I will be a good fit for this position because I have a Bachelor
of Science in Business Administration and extensive leadership experience.
As part of my Bachelor degree I took courses in Accounting, Business Law,
Business Statistics, Finance, Management, and Marketing with a focus on
courses in Management and Business Law. Some particular courses I took as
part of my degree include: Strategic Management, Small Business Management,
Operations Management, Business Law I & II, Organizational Dynamics, and
Management of Human Resources.
I also have a vast amount of leadership experience, which I have gained
mostly through work and Boy Scouts of America. Through work I have
leadership experience from leading the wiring team at Winona State
University and as a coach for the City of Houston where I was the head
coach of five teams over the course of three years plus and additional four
seasons as a volunteer flag football coach for Houston High School. With
the Boy Scouts of America I gained leadership experience by being Assistant
Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior
Patrol leader with my troop. I was also elected Patrol Leader at Junior
Leadership Training and National Junior Leadership Instructor Camp.
