Lifetouch National School Studios-Seniors Order Management System

Project Description:

Lifetouch is a photography company which owns majority of US photography

market. They previously used Vax system as an Order management system.

This system relied on outdated technology and an application

architecture that is difficult to support and prone to interface

inaccuracies, data problems and performance shortcomings. Further it

can't support an integrated Point of Sale. The objective of this project

is to replace the current system infrastructure, re-evaluate and

redesign necessary business processes around the business model, replace

necessary business functionality, implement additional functionality to

remedy existing problem areas and support the future growth of the

business for Lifetouch National school studios. All business processes

from Marketing, Finance, Production, Sales, Corporate, Studios, and

Territories etc. were evaluated and manned to a new core system and

future state direction.

Project description:

Toshiba Logistics America Inc, is a subsidiary of Toshiba Corp, a world

leader is various digital electronics and social infrastructure. TLGA

provides warehousing, inventory, shipping services to Toshiba operating

companies through Sterling warehouse management system. Processes

handled in the warehouse includes receiving, returns, QA, VAS, inventory

storage, Shipping. Sterling WMS is integrated to other 3rd party systems

such as parcel carries systems, Loftware, Cognos BI, brokerage system.

Sterling mobile application is used for various warehouse operations

such as receiving, putaway, picking, move etc. WMS system handles common

carriers, TL/LTL, containerized as well as oversized shipment using

barcode and RF technology.
