Answer customers' questions, and provide
information on procedures or policies. Bag, box,
wrap, or gift-wrap merchandise, and prepare
packages for shipment. Compute and record totals of
transactions.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of
shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that
there is adequate change. Establish or identify
prices of goods, services or admission, and
tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers,
or optical price scanners.
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to
customers, Issue trading stamps, and redeem food
stamps and coupons. Maintain clean and orderly
checkout areas. Process merchandise returns and
exchanges.
Accept reservations or requests for take-out
orders. Calculate total payments received during a
time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and
records.
Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and
items. Pay company bills by cash, vouchers, or
checks.
GSA attends to every Front Lane in its entirety.
That includes three main things: adequately
training the cashiers to prepare them for every
task granted to them, retrieving money for the
registers when needed, and responding to our guest
in a fast, fun and friendly manner when any problem
has occurred at the registers and throughout the
store.
A great deal of leadership goes into this role as I
am the manager of the Front End and the first to
respond when help is needed.
Interests and With me being a nurse major, I love learning about
activities the human body. I like being social and to
intermingle with my peers.
