OBJECTIVE:
Relocate to Arkansas and find a position with a well established
company where I can use my skills and abilities as a trained
maintenance technician to make a positive contribution to the
organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I have worked in various capacities servicing and repairing printing
equipment as a field engineer for the last 38 years. I use all common
hand tools as well as basic electrical measuring and test equipment. I
read and follow schematic drawings to troubleshoot electrical
problems.
I install and service PC's; i.e., replace hard drives, CD drives,
system boards and power supplies. I also install printers and other
peripheral computer equipment.
I also service and repair equipment that utilizes PLC's. I use a PC on
a daily basis to document and close my customer service assignments. I
also use Microsoft Office applications, most commonly MS-Word and MS-
Excel.
EDUCATION:
1972-Present Attended and received Certifications in more than 15
Technical Training Classes.
1992 Attended a 'Train the Trainer' course at the University of
Wisconsin, Eau Claire.
EMPLOYMENT:
2002-2011 Territory Team Leader, AB Dick Co. / Presstek Inc.
Supervise as many as eight Field Engineers covering all or
parts of four states.
I schedule and assign territory workloads to keep the workloads
of the individuals balanced.
I conduct quarterly audits of Field Engineer parts inventories
to ensure compliance with company policy. I also verify Team
member's time sheets and expenses reports are submitted on
schedule.
Write and submit performance appraisals to the next management
level for approval.
1997-2002 Technical Representative, Multigraphics Co. / AB Dick Co.
Relocated to San Diego as a Field Technical Representative.
Performed much the same functions as I had during the my earlier
days in the field
while using the knowledge and expertise gained at headquarters
to train and assist coworkers in the field. Promoted to Team
Leader in 2002.
1990-1997 Multigraphics Co., Technical Support Representative
In 1990 I relocated to the Chicago area to the company
headquarters. In the technical support and training center I
provided telephone support to the field technicians assisting
them in solving mechanical and electrical problems. I wrote
training syllabuses and conducted technical training classes for
field technicians from the US, Canada and Mexico.
I also wrote Technical Bulletins as well as Installation and
Parts Bulletins.
1990. Multigraphics Co., Technical Representative/Territory Team Leader
Starting as a level 3 technician trainee I worked several
territories from San Francisco to the northern California coast
where I serviced a provincial territory for six years as the
sole company representative. I relocated back to San Francisco
in 1983 and was promoted to Territory Team Leader where I
supervised a service team of up to fourteen technicians for the
next seven years..
1967-1971 United States Navy
8 months of basic training, a basic machine training class and
a diesel engine class.
3 month submarine training.
3 years submarine duty.
