resolving customer complaints and instituting process modification to prevent re occurrence.
Developed physical and metallographic test methods to ensure quality of in-process and finished products, improving
yield 30%.
Established processing steps and parameters for copper alloy powders, improving yield 40%.
Developed a new test for quality-related customer returns, reducing overall returns 80%.
OMG AMERICAS (Continued)
Process Engineer 1979 – 1992
Developed improved process flow and processing parameters, improving product yield 60%.
Earned Quality and Scientific Achievement Award for improving product property and quality.
Modified melting practice through installation of less costly crucible with 3-times longer life, saving approximately
$1.5MM/year.
Witnessed extrusion process at toll producer to ensure quality of extruded copper-aluminum alloy.
Designed one-piece atomizing head that met ASME code and improved safety of melt crew, reducing potential on-
the-job hazards of failing welds.
Designed and fabricated anode breaking machine, minimizing manual labor, improving safety, and increasing
efficiency by 50%.
