Hello,
I am submitting my resume along with a recent projects list for your
consideration regarding a position of Estimator or Senior Estimator with
your company. Please review at your convenience and feel free to contact me
with any questions you may have either by mobile phone 863-***-****), home
phone 863-***-****) or e-mail (*********@***.***).
I feel that once you have reviewed my qualifications, you will see that I
am very capable and will make a positive and immediate contribution to your
estimating department. I will be more than happy to make myself available
for an interview at your convenience.
My reasoning for applying for this position is the company for which I have
worked the past 18 years has closed it's doors after being in the sitework,
underground utility and road building business since 1965. We, as a
company, had made many changes to try to weather the terrible economic
conditions facing the construction industry as a whole. Initially there was
a 10% pay decrease across the board, then there were layoffs, then benefits
were reduced and eventually eliminated completely. Finally, a second pay
decrease of 10% was implemented. Even with these measures, the company was
not able to remain viable and was forced to close.
I believe having been employed by the same company for nearly 18 years,
with over 14 of those years as an Estimator, speaks to my abilities as well
as to my loyalty.
I very much appreciate your taking the time to review the attached
documents. I look forward to talking with you soon.
Regards,
Marty Tuckwiller
