Maintenance Supervisor for a chemical plant

-Supervised 10 mechanics and 3 electricians with a 24/7 work schedule in a

chemical plant. Responsible for planning and scheduling, setting work

order priorities, ordering parts and maintaining inventory, evaluating

employees and discipline, identifying and ensure training was accomplished,

monitor outside contractors and coordinate work with engineers and other

departments to meet the company's goals and requirements.

--Accomplishments:

---Implemented an "in process maintenance inspection program" on work being

performed that improved the quality of work.

---Created and conducted a weekly "Tailgate" meeting with all the

department employees to discuss projected work, safety, and work inspection

results. Department safety, quality, and teamwork were recognized as

---Implemented preventive maintenance programs that increased the equipment

reliability and saved thousands of dollars.

maintenance workers to perform major plant upgrades and/or equipment
