Successful project leader of the Datawarehouse system, carrying the analysis, design,

implementation and support of the backend and frontend to more than 200 users at

national level successfully in Femsa Comercio for 8 years, with information of up to 3500

stores processed each day with a volume of 1 GB. Helping later in the migration to

Oracle DB and Microstrategy technologies by automating tests and QA for the BI

project.

Dealt with the grow of the company from 300 stores to 3500 stores in 8 years, passing

from only monthly analysis of information to reports analysis by month, week, and day.

Technologies applied were Python, Metakit, SQL Server, T/SQL, DTS/SSIS,

PowerBuilder, Excel, Oracle Warehousebuilder and Plone.

Project leader responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of over

25 successful projects over the past 12 years, 16 of them in the last 5 years, delivering on

time and within budget.

SQL Server DBA for several databases, among them the Datawarehouse DB with a size

reached of 1 Terabyte. Being able to design and optimize it for fast response at users,

support to more than 100 users at national level at Femsa Comercio. Web frontend with report

Project leader of the Inventory System of AdSpaces at the stores at Femsa Comercio

conceived for managing the availability of advertising space in over 7000 stores, being

responsible for the analysis, design, development, and support to over 100 users. Reducing the

operation times from days to minutes in the consolidation of information to generate orders for

advertising material for shops and set up promotions. Technology applied: Plone, Python, MS

SQL Server, HTML, CSS.

Designed and implemented an Intelligent Agent for the monitoring of servers,

communications, SQL Server databases, Oracle databases, FTP Servers, and the state of

processes of the systems with a Python agent able to send emails to people in charge according

to an easy to modify configuration file to specify servers, ftp servers, Oracle databases, SQL

Server Databases, etc.

Responsible for the sales, prospecting, calling, and the negotiation of the projects.

Eight projects delivered on time of 8 projects taken and within the budget projected being

responsible for the analysis, design, development, and support of the projects.

Designed and developed processes with Python to maximize the utilization of the available

resources making use of parallelism and concurrent processing at different servers to the

processing of XML files in minimum time for the loading of information to SQL Server.

Ensured the correct operation of the systems developed integrating the development with the

generation of key indicators for a website just for the monitoring of the systems by the

operations department personal and of automatic alarms for the automated detection of

problems and generation of alarms to key people.

Automated the monitoring of servers, communications, SQL Server databases, Oracle

databases, FTP Servers, and the state of processes of the systems with a Python Agent able

to send emails to people in charge according to an easy to modify configuration file where

you specify services to be monitored and the personal to be notified when an issue is

detected.

Technologies applied:

o UML: For the definition of the requirements gathered with the users.

o Python, Python lxml, SQLAlchemy/elixir, and ftplib. For the automatic processing

of XML Files for the loading of data to SQL Server and tracking the reception of

files from more than 7000 stores of Femsa Comercio. Designing the processes for

parallelism and concurrent processing at different servers to maximize the use of the

available resources.

o SSIS: For the processing of Zip files containing Access files to load data to SQL

Server.

o SQL Server: For the storage of information and also for the processing of

information to generate complex reports with T/SQL, calculating at night some

aggregated tables for the analysis of information.

o MS Excel 2007: For the generation of a dashboard system for the access of

information stored at SQL Server and utilize the pivot tables and charts to give

different analysis to the user with the freedom to use filters, and sorting that Excel

offers delivering the system in a record time of 1 week, for something that would

have required at least 3 months of development in Microstrategy.

o Plone, HTML/CSS: For the creation of websites at different projects, some to be

used as a website to access reports with data read from SQL Server and Oracle, and

others as a CMS for the management of content created by users.

Dimension of the Project.- Grande - National, is a measure to suppliers who supply us directly to the stores

representing 50% of purchases in the chain.

What impact did for your area or department? - The impact was big for the company, came to equip us

with valuable information for managing the supply with direct suppliers, which is being reflected in a

decrease in lost sales, additional came to change management routines of people who are in the 55 cities of
