Duties: I was a Dental Assistants in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.
I assisted surgeons in sedation cases such as implants, wisdom teeth,
intraoral biopsies, trauma cases, and local extractions. I set up
procedures, seated patents and prepped them for IV sedation, occasionally
starting the IV. I updated required paperwork, gave pre and postoperative
instructions, and educated patients on oral hygiene. I monitored vital
signs paying close attention to of all displays and alarms, before, during,
and after the procedure. I passed instruments anticipating what the Doctor
would need in a precise order and proper form to avoid cross-contamination,
suction of fluids to prevent any issue during and post surgery, and kept
the airway open with proper technique, protecting all lips, cheeks, neck,
oral nerves, and muscles. I helped maintain tracking of all surgical
equipment, ordering of supplies, and sterilization of all instruments
before and after treatments. Sterile technique used throughout, ensuring
quality patient care and preparation for the doctors needs. Working to stay
in compliance with OSHA and HIPPA regulations. I also assisted in the
Hospital's Operating Room for broken jaws, bone grafting, rhinoplasty in
trauma cause, impacted teeth, and any other necessary procedures. Help with
distressed patents from postoperative care packing dry sockets, removing
packs, sutures removal, and helped cut and remove all dental wire from
surgical treatments. We did our own surgical appointment booking on the CDA
system, maintaining daily log of patents and data input. In-put data coding
from medical/dental procedures, updated solder's dental information, and
category readiness status. I was given the opportunity to work in the
dental lab at another clinic (Shira Dental Clinic) for about 6 months to
help them catch up on lab cases. I made pros stints, mouth guards, bleach
trays, poured and trimmed study models, preformed repairs, and
managed/logged all lab cases in and out of the clinic. I was tasked out to
do full mouth X-rays, Panoramic, Cephalometric, Periapical, Bite wings.
Occasionally I would cover the front desk where I made appointments
transferred calls took messages and handled the need of the customers. I
have great organization skills and like to stay on top of things.

Duties: 2000-2003 I was the primary Orthodontic Assistant for Maj Mike
Roberts. My duties were patient care and management. I took care of all
appointments on the CDA Dental system, input all credits for treatment, and
maintained all patient records updated all medical histories, blood
pressures, privacy act (hippa), and patient treatment forms to make sure
all policies and procedures were being followed Sent out all required
emails typed required paperwork for patents knowledge of procedures. I
took all study models, poured cast, cut and trim them, took panoramic,
cephalometric radiographs, intra-oral, hand and wrist films. I also did
patient treatment and gave oral hygiene instructions. Handled all supply
orders and sterilization of instruments. Maintained and cleaned
instruments, cleaned and stocked operatories, flushed water lines,
disinfect and equipment and operatories. During this time I also have an
opportunity to work in the dental lab where I learned to make mouth guards,
temp retainers, bleaching trays, stints, custom trays and do some repairs.

Duties: I started out as a contract Dental Assistant at the Vicenza Dental
Clinic in Italy. I was the Radiology tech for about 6 months where I
cleaned and operated all the equipment and took ordinary and UN ordinary
Radiographs. I have also received a certificate of Training from Chppm-Eur
radiation protection division. Part of my duties was not only Radiology. We
had a visiting Periodontist, Endodontist, and Prosodontist come to our
clinic to treat patients. I managed their books/cases and assisted chair
side with them as well. I also during this time assisted with the Oral
Surgeon. I set up, and assisted in the removal of impacted teeth, biopsies
and placement and removal of sutures. Maintained and sterilized all
instruments. I moved out of Radiology to work with a general dentist who
liked to do a little bit of everything from, Prosodontis, Endodontics and
Periodontal treatment. I was responsible for marinating and cleaning
instrument trays, cleaning and stocking operatories: after treatment
procedures, flush water lines, disinfect all equipment. I worked at the
fount desk making appointments, handled/made dental records, checked in
patients, taking patients calls, transferring calls, perform various
office tasks, and assisting in patients need.

and Preventive Medicine-Europe Landstuhl, Germany, for Medical Radiation
Protection Officers Course. I have education credits the American Society
of Radiologic Technologists in the total of 16 credits, which include
Radiation Basics, Biological Effects and Risk Assessment, Diagnostic
Imaging, Quality Control in the X-Ray Department, X-Ray Film Processors,
Film/Screen Combination, Dark Rooms, Processor Quality Control, Radiation
Protection Officers Duties, and Radiation Dosimetry Program. I have
Maintained Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
Certification - Red Cross Dental program (12/15/1998)
The Red Cross program is a two week in class study, then you had to
complete 350 hours of hands on in 14 weeks. My hands on training consisted
of assisting in Operatives, Prosthetic, Oral Surgery, Endodontic,
Periodontal treatment. Receive patients, Sterilizing instruments, setting
up for each treatment, and maintaining condition of the patients, give the
patient instructions from the dentist, assist the dentist chair side give
and receive instruments. I also learned how to take impressions, and do an
audit of all records. I have also been involved in the screening of solders
for deployment readiness

Additional Information
I have received numerous awards to include two commanders' awards for
public service and civilian service. I have also received an Exceptional
Volunteer award from the Commanding General in Italy on Caserma Ederle for
my work of over 1000 hours of service to the Red Cross program. I have
basic use of Microsoft office, and word. Working in the Medical/Dental
