Finland, managed virtually by support resources in Manaus, Brazil
while coordinating with business stakeholders in Bristol, England.
Yearly budget ~ 1.2 million euros.
Communicate & Coordinate - Nokia Messaging and Ovi Mail
Support local marketing units by deploying and testing global
messaging and email solutions aimed at encouraging consumers to sign-
up and receive personalized email and messaging communications.
Requires careful coordination with Latin America operators including
America Movil, Telefonica, Movistar and TIM Brazil in addition to
local marketing resources and localization partners. Portfolio
includes (3) sub-projects, (4) technical project managers located
between Finland, Brazil and Mexico with a budget not to exceed ~875K
euros.
Explore & Navigate - Ovi Maps using NAVTEQ Navigation
Providing IT support to local sales unit for Ovi Maps and Ovi Suite
launch for Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and N8 handsets to
Latin America. Portfolio includes (2) sub-projects aimed at testing to
validate consumer experience for existing and beta releases. Consists
of testing NAVTEQ GPS accuracy, performance and reporting
inconsistencies to global Maps team. Resources include (2) FTE testing

Served as program manager for the technical migration of Voice, WAN, SaaS
services and application development environments from Nokia to the newly
formed Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) organization. Portfolio included (77)
services, over (1200) servers and (15) technical project managers.
Responsible for ensuring resolution of issues with implications to cost,
schedule and/or scope, maintaining program level risk management plan and
reporting program status to Nokia executive level on weekly basis.
Relocated to Helsinki, Finland for (6) months full-time to work onsite at
Nokia headquarters in Espoo, Finland directly with executive management.
In daily contact with NSN program manager to resolve open issues requiring
additional resources, support, budget etc. Quarterly budget exceeded 1.5
million euros.
Nokia IT 05/07 -
07/08 Sao Paulo, BR
Assigned as Deployment Manager for Nokia Consumer Retention program for
Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico. Responsible for
mapping the global program guidelines to local Latin America requirements
and managing daily deployment tasks while abiding by internal PM "E-
milestone" methodology. Managed Wunderman marketing agency to ensure they
performed all localization and translation of content accurately and on
time. Managed setup, configuration and testing of SMS connectivity to all
countries in collaboration with Sybase enabling consumers to receive SMS
messages in their respective language. Deployment was done via a virtual
team with stakeholders in Latin America, UK and Finland. Provided weekly
status to key stakeholders, monthly updates to steering group and had less
than 5% variance in milestone achievement dates.
Nokia SAP 09/06 -
05/07 Manaus, BR
Project Manager for Direct Nokia Delivery (DND) which is an on demand
material ordering system allowing raw material delivery directly from
suppliers to the Nokia manufacturing plant in Manaus, BR removing the need
to store raw materials. Managed SAP blueprint development, changes to
Materials Management (MM), master data maintenance, transports to new
environments and testing. Managed external vendor responsible for setting
up RFID gates and RFID tags for incoming raw materials destined for
production floor. Responsible for maintaining 99.9% production uptime
while implementing project since downtime equates to over US$1 million per
60 seconds. Eliminated need for warehousing of key raw materials thus
reducing the need for over 204,000 cubic feet of storage and saving over
RI$850,000 in yearly overhead costs.

Served as Technical Implementation Manager (TIM) for a SAP R/3 v4.7
engagement for a business process improvement project where Nokia adopted
a new sales distribution model for a major Latin American telecom.
Impacted modules included SD, FI, CO-PA and MM and several new reporting
requirements were implemented. Responsible for managing all technical
activities and resources including concept review, ABAP development, EDI
document definition, transports, environment moves and setting up a new
AS2 HTTPS connection between our Manaus, BR factory and our vendor. Held
legally accountable for conforming to Brazil financial requirements
including Nota Fiscal and SATI reporting. Project was Sarbanes-Oxley
compliant requiring regular project evidence to demonstrate conformance.

of Idaho. Worked directly with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to define the
Electronica Data Interchange (EDI) of all HIPAA electronic claims and non-
claims transactions destined for, or originating from Regence Plans.
Harris County Sheriff, Houston TX
The purpose of this engagement was to gather requirements and provide a
proof of concept for an integrated justice information system to support
law enforcement and court case management activities. As a lead member of
the requirements team I was responsible for facilitating requirement
gathering sessions and documenting resulting requirements. Abided by the
Rational Unified Process (RUP) and presented results to the client for
validation and design team for implementation. Authored Software
Requirement Specification (SRS) documents for each system module with
detailed use case requirements, functional and non-functional
requirements, business rules and glossary items. Created UML models via
Rational Rose and use case, sequence, activity, data flow and state
diagrams.
