EDW: The Enterprise Data Warehouse holds data extracted from SAP,

EDH, PARIS and the Shared Repository. These data feeds are extracted

from the source systems using ETL tool and loaded into a staging

area in EDW. The subject areas covered by the scope of Release of

the EDW program include Finance, Global Strategic Sourcing,

Operations, and Human Resources. The Objective of the testing is to

find Software defects in the EDW life cycle to ensure and maintain

subject oriented, non volatile collection of EDW Tables.

Golden Gate: Golden Gate (Replication) Services (GGS) is a software

product that performs replication of data from one table to another

table that is, typically, hosted on another Teradata database.

Replication of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) tables involves

capturing the data transaction applied to the table in US core

database and applying the same data transaction to its counterpart

table in the EU database. The main aim of this project is to

leverage time between the US core database and the EU database to

get the access for the updated data at similar time.

Responsibilities:

Involved in preparation of Test plans, Created test cases and

responsible for executing the Test Scripts.

Coordinate all Testing for Back End and Front End.

Working with the end users to create user acceptance test strategies

and test scenarios to verify that the system performs the business

functions as required.

Owned the creation and ongoing maintenance of test process

documentation and test plans

Worked with the development team to create a suite of test data

(both input files and expected results) that fully exercises data

validation (detecting and rejecting bad data) and actual ETL

(Informatica) functionality (properly processing good data, i.e.,

transformations, calculations, and derivations)

Managed the ETL build validation process on an ongoing basis

Created reports for Validation activities.

Responsible for the validation of any additions/modifications to the

Business Objects reports before release to production. Validating

fields present in the reports are as agreed in the specifications.
