KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS as Quality Director, Quality Manager and Director of

Program Development

* Coordinated and provided direction for development and implementation of

plans for complete evaluation and overhaul of business and quality

systems. Plans included evaluation to develop documentation and

training in all key processes. Oversaw plans to successful conclusion

including third party certification to ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, AS 9100, &

Class 1E (nuclear) Quality Management System standards. This was done at

14 different companies as a consultant or as the company's Quality

Manager/Director.

* In a contract electronics manufacturer led quality and manufacturing

initiatives, improving product and process quality levels. Improved

product DPMO levels from 1500 DPMO to 180 DPMO, customer returns from 2%

to .1%, and customer complaints from 30/year to 10/year. Company is able

to produce same sales dollars with 50% fewer employees.

* Wrote an received a grant from New York State to develop, implement and

manage comprehensive training and company wide plan for all employees of

the organization, including industry specific certification for the

workforce for:

o IPC-A-610 "Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies"

o IPC/EIA J-STD-001 - "Requirements for Soldered Electronic and

Electrical Assemblies"

o Lean Manufacturing - 5S, Kiazen, Kanban, and SMED, Value Stream

metrics. Developed process to use key metric results to restructure

* Managed the development of the quality system, certification &

maintenance to ISO 9002-1994.

* Coordinated Quality Management System development at two facilities in PA

and on in NC.

* Oversaw the development and implementation of quality methods in a new

facility built specifically for the manufacture of cellular communication

tower locations.

Bureau Veritas Global Systems, Binghamton, NY 1993 to 1995

The company also worked closely with the AIAG to develop train-the

-trainer programs in the automotive field. BVGS had approximately $500
