Fiscal/budget technicians perform accounting, budgeting, and related
financial management duties for appropriated funds supporting the operating
forces and the shore establishment. Accounting duties specifically pertain
to maintenance and reconciliation of official accounting records; general
ledger control and preparation of official accounting reports; and related
cost accounting, fiscal analysis and oversight duties typically performed
by accounting organizations. Fiscal/budget technicians perform duties
specifically pertaining to the compilation of data and estimates to support
budget formulation; analysis of variances between budget plan and actual
budget execution; and related budget analysis and oversight duties
typically performed by budget organizations. Other fiscal management duties
may encompass a broad range of related duties that include recording
