I am seeking a position where I can utilize my knowledge and skills to help promote growth and

success in the company I work for.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have experience teaching K-12 Physical Education and teaching Adaptive Physical Education.

I have coached high school softball, middle school basketball, track and field, elementary track

and field, soccer and swimming. I have experience managing a retail store and running my own

businesses. I also supervised the Garden Club, Academic Student Council and Family fun nights

at Somis School. Currently, I am Activities Director for my church and I volunteer at my

children’s schools and activities and an AYSO board member for the past 4 years. I speak some

Spanish taking five years of courses at the University.

2003 - Student Teaching; Park Ridge Elementary Nampa, Idaho

Student teacher: K-6 grade. Planned and implemented units in basketball, volleyball, football,

parachute, and a two week jump rope unit with each team performing a demonstration that the

students created.

2003 - Student Teaching; East Jr. High Boise, Idaho

Student Teacher: 7th and 8th grade. Planned and implemented units in basketball, track and

field, soccer and frisbee, all units were two weeks long which included rainy day activities that

went along with the unit.

EMPLOYMENT

2009 – 2010 Business Owner: World Financial Group

Teaching families how to make the most of current investment vehicles so they may be ready for

retirement, college or future investments; I also help them get out of debt if needed.

2005 - 2009 Professional Teacher: Somis Union School District

Started teaching 6th -8th grade physical education/health at the beginning of the year, at semester I

was given the 4th and the 5th grade classes as well. Creativity is a must as I do not have access to

a gym and the students do not dress out. I coached the girls’ basketball team and I am currently

coaching the track and field team. Always modifying and working with students who have a

disability.

2004 – 2005 Professional Teacher: Silverado High School VVUHSD.

I taught three classes of 9th grade P.E., one class of 10th -12th grade P.E. and one class of Adaptive

P.E. I also coached freshmen/sophomore softball, supervised Powder Puff Football team.

2004 Substitute Teacher

Oxnard School District 7-8 grade and Oxnard Unified School District.

I was a long term substitute at Channel Islands High School, I taught four classes of 9th grade

P.E. and one class of 10th -12th grade P.E.

2003-2004 Operations Manager: Joann Fabrics and Crafts

Open and close store, Hire new employees, supervise employees, store operations, receive

merchandise, customer relations, deposit earnings and handle all mail.

2001-2002 Unit Service Associate; St. Lukes Hospital

I made sure all of the patients on the floor ordered lunch, breakfast, and super, I then recorded

how much each patient consumed. I also cleaned and restocked each patient’s room as well as

the rest of the floor.

1995-1998 Manager/Owner; Joey’s Janitorial

My husband and I owned a small janitorial business, cleaning different companies around town.

Each night we would clean or make sure each business was clean, and re-stocked for the next

business day. Those companies being: Mountain States Medical, Downtown Child

Development

Center, The Ram and Murphies Restaurant and Architectural Building Supply.

1996-1997 Teacher assistant; Downtown Child Development Center

I was able to assist teachers with lunchtime, reading and nap-time as well as taking the children

on field trips. The center consisted of newborns to 5 year old children and an after school

program. I was able to help in all of the classrooms

EXTRA CURRICULAR

Currently I run a side business walking dogs to earn extra money.

Currently I am the Division Director for AYSO under 19/16 boys teams

Currently I am the Activities Coordinator for my church

Volunteer coach for TVL softball

I exercise daily training for 5K runs and volunteer for my children’s sports teams.
