Duties and Responsibilities:
Welding with stick, wire and sub-arc repairing main frames, heads, shafts;
weld cast iron or braze. Hard facing with stoody 31. Disassembly and
assembly of Taylor, Simon's, el jay cone crushers, roll crushers, and jaw
crushers.
Use of sub arc included: 3/32, 1/8, 5/32 or dual 3/32. Weld bores, shafts,
plate.
Wire 60-429 flux, LA 90-880 flux,
Bore-tec bore welder .035 for uses on bores 4 in and smaller.
Mig Welding wire sizes 045, 1/16, 3/32.
Worked in brass welding where we would weld brass to steel.
Used track burner to cut plate.
Carbon arc Cutting torch.
Used up to a 75-ton turntable.
Disassembly of machines, including use of hand tools and porta power jacks.
Unloading and loading trucks with parts weighing up to 50 tons using
forklifts and overhead cranes.
Use of overhead cranes with proper lifting gear to reposition machinery for
disassembly, repair or rebuilding, and reassembly of machines.
