PROJECTS:

The project involved deep web mining activities, using Kapow Web Data Server 7.0/7.2

( third party software) to create and schedule web mining robots and delivering the

output to customers. So far, I have created more than 300 robots to mine same number of

websites. The database resulted from these robots are maintained in Microsoft SQL

server 2008. Most of the website crawled are hospital, church, and Point of In terest

websites (e.g. AG.org, Hotels, Wal-Ma rt, Hy-Vee, Walgreens). Robots saved manual data

entry work for the company.

P r oj ect : B usiness D at abase Reengineer ing a t i nfoUSA

InfoUSA holds proprietary databases of US, Canada, other nations and consumer

households. The project targeted to reengineer the existing six different database

systems (AS 400) of the company into one single database (PostgreSQL). The project

i nvolved creating an application to support various database management systems of the

company and in ternational databases of the company. The database management system

used for this application was PostgreSQL. My role in this project was as PostgreSQL

developer/ DBA. The project used agile methodology .
