A history of successful implementations of over 10 Flue Gas

Desulfurization (FGD) systems coupled with market leadership in FGD

byproducts, has built Synthetic Materials a well earned, solid reputation

within the synthetic gypsum industry. In 2008, we dewatered, transported,

and marketed in excess of 3 million tons of synthetic gypsum and expect a

continued growth of 15% annually.

Transportation Manager - Hired to work alongside Mirant Contract Manager

and effectively teach and demonstrate the proper procedures to improve

production and quality, managed transportation of gypsum, keep

maintenance records of equipment and maintain environmental compliance.

. Responsible for the transportation of Synthetic Gypsum between

3 power plants in Southern Maryland owned by Mirant, LLC.

. Movement between two plants is via CSX railways with a fleet of

320 rail cars to supply weekly ocean barge loadings at the main plant

in Newburg, MD.

. Manage Material Handling Department to ensure timely

loading/unloading of the rail cars to keep a constant rotation of

movement, and enough inventories in main plant for barge loadings.

. Also manage daily trucking of biological waste from all 3 sites

to landfill located in Amelia, VA.,

. Made all transportation mode decisions, monitored daily service

through specific KPIs, cost reduction project identification and

execution, special project/program execution, capacity planning,

managing the third party on site transportation provider.
