Full time consulting engagement as on site business and property manager for absentee owned
multi-location cattle operation in Navarro, Houston, Leon and Smith Counties, Texas.
Responsibilities included hiring personnel, ranch improvement projects, purchasing manager and
all day to day activities.
Originated $17,650,000 in real estate acquisition and operating loans and acted as relationship
manager for VCH Ranch.
Successfully closed nine real estate purchase transactions resulting in four operating ranches,
including 12,400 owned and approximately 3,000 acres leased.
Established and closed the real estate transactions as Section 1031 and reverse 1031 transactions.
Cattle inventories included 2,500 cow-calf and 2,500 stocker cattle.
1993 – 2004
President / Owner
Mortgage banking and real estate services to agri-businesses in Texas, Florida and the
southeastern U.S. Correspondent for national agricultural lenders, including Rabo Bank
(LendLease), and Zions Agricultural Credit. Originator for MetLife, Travelers/CitiGroup,
Prudential Agribusiness, Bank of America and local lenders. $27,200,000 of loans originated
during this period.
Florida loan portfolio servicer for Rabo Agrifinance until 2007 when Rabo created in-house
servicing positions.
Business activities suspended during Travelers employment (see below) and severely restricted
during VCH Ranch engagement.
Consulting services providing real estate investment, financial and management advice.
TRAVELERS INVESTMENT GROUP 1996 - 1999
Director – Vice President
Business development and portfolio management of a $230 Million Florida and Texas loan
portfolio. Successfully originated, managed and purchased large participation loans.
Performed analysis/underwriting, servicing, negotiations and closing and post closing
responsibilities of associated loan and real estate equity portfolio.
Contributed to all management reporting to direct supervisors and investment managers.

First Vice President
Senior Officer for commercial and agricultural lending department of a $1.6 Billion regional
bank.

Built Agri-business lending department from scratch, originating over $250 Million loan
portfolio.
Negotiated and sold $185 Million R/E mortgage portfolio to major insurance company with
profitable retained servicing, allowing Bank to exceed all FIRREA capital requirements prior to
statutory deadlines.
Management responsibility for $400 Million commercial loan portfolio (including serviced ag
portfolio) with 14 FTE professional and staff employees.
Member of bank’s senior credit committee and other functional operating committees.
