Mainframe DB2, ADABASE, Flat files, Excels to populate Staging Area on AIX Platform to

further populate Datamart using 3 years of Historical Data for initial population.

• Created documentation-designs-process flows for solutions of pulling data from two different

versions of the same table. This was required because data was on either or sometimes on both

tables. Enhanced response time of reports specially related to Member Eligibility, LICS changes,

Sanctioned Providers by analyzing table joins in COGNOS catalogs & COGNOS SQLS. Verified

possible improvements by running SQLs before making changes to COGNOS catalog.

Software Engineer/Technical Project Manager 2004-2008

Implemented Putnam conversion gap project:

• Elicited business requirements into technical, coordinated tasks with team leads of Web (Java),

Desktop (.Net), VISION (CICS VIEWS) and batch COBOL.

• Analyzed & researched programs to implement functional requirements of freezing accounts of

Share Owner if the address wasn’t deliverable. The systems behavior at Putnam funds needed to

be accommodated in to DST TA2000 product without negatively impacting other customers.

Designed and brainstormed 2 solutions one using existing flags & the other by creating new flag.

• Built Use Cases by communicating with customers, conducting JAD sessions, understanding high

level scope. Presented both solutions with time/cost estimate, explained to steering committee,

then receiving clear direction.

• Managed and delivered 4000+ hour project by leading a team of 12. Scoped & tracked the

project, conducted weekly meetings with Project team & stake holders. Migrated the inventory

from Test-Alpha-Charlie-Beta-Stage to production. Verified the functionality of the product for

Delivered a project for a new fund called ‘Fund of Funds’ (New fund offering by Hartford)

• Collaborated with business partners to understand the concept, designed, developed and integrated

new solution into existing product (TA2000). As a result, DST pioneered record keeping of new

concept in Mutual Fund industry. The new Fund was offered for attracting larger investment over

longer period by offering bonus contribution.

• Created process flow, technical design for changes to Purchase & Exchange processes. Migrated

inventory thru the platforms to deliver the solution/enhancements to TA2000.
