DIY Industries: 03/08 to 01/11 - Distribution Sales Manager (Lean/5S
Visual Control support products)
Became first DIY Distribution Sales Manager with one major
distributor and twelve non-competing distributors in
manufacturing support market. Developed 43 additional
distributors and $800,000 in new sales this year as well as
distributor product
training and education requirements.
Detail Technologies Inc.: 08/99 to 3/08 - Sales Engineer (Prototypes,
molds, stamping dies & fixtures)
Joined small (six employee) shop with expectations of helping to
grow the business and customer base. The company has grown to
62 employees with two shifts, including a new building with the
rental of a second facility to begin a new work center all while
reaching $8.8 mm in sales. Doubled the sales of technologies
and customer base in five years. Detail Technologies supplies
stamping tools and injection molds, fixtures, specialty
components, special machines build, reverse engineering, full
EDM services and limited production.
Mito Product Development (Clarion Technologies) 02/98 to 08/99 -
Account Manager
Responsible for new business and territory development - Sold
industrial design, engineering prototypes and injection mold
building. Expanded the customer base to include: Trendway
Corporation, Federal Mogul, Electrolux, ODL, Chrysler and Cooper
Lighting. Expanded the sales territory into the Chicago area
within eight months.
Northern Indiana Packaging: 11/93 to 2/98 - Sales Engineer
Replaced two regional sales people with responsibilities in
rejuvenation of a failing satellite facility. Restored a major
customer's confidence and our near expulsion as a supplier.
Instrumental in moving our supplier rating from the bottom of
the supply chain to within several points of becoming supplier
of the year within ten months of my original start date.
Prior History: 1975 through 1992
Product Development & Product Design (Manager) for White
Consolidated Co. - 15 plus years (both cooking and
refrigeration appliances with six brands and unique feature
levels) - Patent holder in refrigeration door handle design &
construction. Sales and management of Injection Mold and
production facility. Self-employed design and engineering
consultant for 1-1/2 years.
INTERESTS/HOBBIES
My main interests are: Family, automotive restoration, street
rods, road racing and home improvement. Art in several mediums,
architecture, hunting, new technologies, contemporary christian
