Sourcing Clerk

Place and answer calls to clients regarding the completion of required international

documents. Respond to customer questions and request in a timely manner. Provide

information from our SAP system to clients in an effort to help them complete NAFTA

forms (North American Free Trade Agreement), Supplier Country of Origin and Customs

Compliance forms. Perform audits on the forms submitted by our clients to ensure they

comply with United States governmental regulations.

Held various positions over an eighteen year period, to include: Customer Service

Liaison, Team Leader, Quality Inspector and Packer. Started in the company as a packer

and as a result of my attendance, attitude, production, safety and leadership abilities

receive several promotions eventually becoming a Team Leader and Customer Service

Liaison before the company moved the operation to Mexico.

Customer Service Liaison

Worked daily with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction, approved

orders, calculated shipping cost and transit times. Work with shipping companies

including LTL Carriers, UPS, FedEx and USPS handling any changes that the customer

may need such as address change or delivery date changes, order tracking and cost.

Put orders together, included customer specific instructions on orders and scanned to

appropriate locations throughout the plant. Work with Distribution and Manufacturing

Managers, Supervisors and team leaders coordinating order flow and priority. Work

closely with the offsite customer service representatives in Owatonna, MN to meet the

customers changing needs and priorities. Settle customer complaints, filed orders, and

closed out domestic and International orders to include mode of transportation, carrier,

weight and cost of shipments. Located cancelled orders and returned items to stock.

Performed inventory transactions on items moved from department to department.

Supervised a crew of three data entry clerks, helped the pack lines with training and

filled in for team leaders when absences occurred. Help during orientation of new hirers

and set in during interviewing of new hire prospects.

Team Leader (Packing)

Supervised up to 15 employees to include packers, material handlers and Assistant

Team Leaders, trained production packers, ensured that orders were packed in a timely

manner. Ensured packers met all quality and production goals daily. Conducted start up

meetings and assigned employee workload. Kept Supervisor up to date on all production

and or disciplinary issues, ensured all orders were ready, and on time to meet company

deadlines in a fast paced work environment.

Quality Inspector

Performed quality control inspections, encouraged continuous improvement processes,

and participated in the construction of the SOP. Conduct and document process and

system audits using written procedures as audit standards. Accurately documented the

results of the inspections and testing. Evaluated problems and made recommendations

for possible corrective action to supervisor. Worked with Production Supervisors and

Quality Manger to provide feedback to packers regarding accuracy of packing

procedures
