Managed communications and marketing functions for the airport, including:
coordinating information dissemination through news releases,
announcements, and media interviews; developing marketing plans and working
with the airport's advertising agency to promote the Dane County Regional
Airport and its airlines; preparing talking points, correspondence, and
PowerPoint presentations for the Airport's Director, and others, including
the airport's consultant; responding to letters from customers and
assisting major airport clients with welcoming activities at the airport.
Selected Accomplishments:
. Developed and maintained successful contact with media, businesses,
and customers through news releases, blast e-mail announcements, and
web content updates.
. Wrote, edited and distributed the airport's monthly electronic
newsletter, and prepared the script and helped produce a promotional
video for the airport.
. Prepared the annual "Jumpstart" and "Network" PowerPoint presentations
for DCRA Consultant Ron McNeill of Mead and Hunt, Incorporated. Also
prepared PowerPoint presentations for the Airport's Director for
community outreach.
. Created and coordinated a number of media campaigns for DCRA and its
airlines, including a multi-media campaign for Delta Air Lines daily,
non-stop service to Atlanta, and worked with Frontier Airlines on a
cooperative advertising campaign.
. Worked with the airport's advertising agency on the 2011 advertising

. Effectively presented the position of the Dane County Regional Airport
during the controversial discussions to remove non-migratory/resident
geese from Warner Park.
. Coordinated the Airport's Economic Impact Report with the state

. Developed a successful, multi-tiered media campaign for a local labor
union involving web site development and content, advertising (radio,
print and direct mail), scheduled media interviews for the designated
spokesman, and organized media events.
. Helped launch the campaign of a candidate for the United States
Senate. Wrote media advisories and news releases that were distributed
to media outlets across the state of Wisconsin, conducted follow-up
telephone calls prior to his appearances in certain media markets, and
booked interviews for him on talk radio programs and with print and
television journalists.
. Conducted a media seminar for faculty and staff at Madison Area
Technical College (Madison College) to prepare them for what to expect
during a media interview.
. Publicized the latest novel by Madison author, Kevin Hughes, which
included writing and producing a promotional sheet and biography for
him, as well as scheduling media interviews. I also helped coordinate
book signing events for him.
