•Certified Dental assistant through the 18 month Dental Assisting program
at Gulfcoast Community College located in Panama City Beach, FL
February 2007.
•Expanded functions certification
•Radiology and lab Through Radiology III including digital Panoramic
machine and other x-rays that are done with the digital sensor.
•Knowledge and experienced use of Dentrix and most other dental office
programs
•3 years of hands on dental assisting experience in General Dentistry and
Oral Surgery
•Complete and well educated knowledge of all dental instruments including
automatic endodontic drilling systems, as well as being accredited in
sterilization by all OSHA standards.
•I am fully aware of and up to date on all HIPPA regulations and policies.
•I am experienced in all dentrix applications for the front office:Checking
out, filing insurance, checking ledgers, making appointments, entering
treatment, etc.
•I also have and additional 250 clinical work hrs of wich I completed during
school in all general as well as specialty fields of dentistry that were a
requirement for the completion of my certification.
Skills
•I am very people oriented I have good communication abilities coupled
with an empathy for other people.I have very well developed
telephone skills and have no issues with calling patients for
appointment confirmation or to schedule patients.
•I consider myself a hardworker and enjoy lab work immensly. I was
responsible for most all lab work at my previous office .
•Stints for temporaries, large cases usually such as #6-#10. I made,
articulated, and mounted all study models, plastered and plasterless. I
am fully capable of using a lab grinder and was learning when I left to
trim dies for crown cases. I have made retainers and some flexible
night guards with proform material, all of wich require pouring
models, an assumed task in any dental laboratory.
•I am experienced in the process of making partials, flexible bases, and
metal framework as well as dentures in sets or individually. I am also
very knoweledgable in chairside relines of dentures.
•I am familiar with all Luma and Zoom whitening systems.
My goal as a dental assistant is to become more experienced in all fields of
dentistry. I enjoy my work greatly and tackle challanges head on with great
enthusiasm. I hope to become an invaluable assett to
any dental practice that I work in by bringing all of the skills I have learned
in school, as well as in my previous office. I understand that a firm, amiable
and very understanding relationship is key for any dentist I work for to trust
my skills and rely on me as their assistant. I am fully aware that my job
description holds more in its meaning than just showing up to work. I am
depended upon to uphold standards and help the doctor I work for be the
best that they can be. By being responsible for my tasks and bringing them
to their completed state entirley and correctly, I can create total customer
satisfaction and a very efficient working environment. Although my actual
years working in a dental office are not numerous, my exuberant and
hardworking attitued make up for that greatly. My work ethics are
impeccable. Your consideration of me for any position you might have
