& DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, CLIENT/PRACTICE MANAGER

Established in 1994, ORION RMI is a $480 Million medical billing and physician practice management

company specializing in radiology billing and collections, and represents 25 hospital-based and clinic

imaging group practices nationwide.

Hired as General Manager of Operations in 2008, achieved 3 increasingly

responsible role expansions in 3 years’ time, culminating with Director of

Operations, Radiology Services & Quality Improvement in 2011, a position held

concurrent to Director of Operations, Client/Practice Manager. Provides leadership

and direction to 16-member staff, and ensures business goals are integrated into

divisions’ daily operations. Key achievements:

Established, implemented and managed multiple cost-efficient business unit

projects, the combined result of which was a $100,000 reduction in annual

operating costs.

Successfully manages revenue cycle for 6 Diagnostic and

Interventional Radiology clients and 3 Gastroenterology clients (112

physicians billing a combined $7 Million per month, with average gross

collection ratio of 41%), providing full-service practice management for 3 of those

clients.

Created, oversaw implementation of long-term performance plan and new

operational infrastructure that improved employee production by 21%, reduced

costs by 25%, facilitated 15% client growth and positioned organization for

– 2007

Embracing new technology and evidence-based medicine to become one of the most progressive

healthcare systems in the country, NCH is comprised of 2 hospitals and an alliance of 500+

independent physicians and medical facilities throughout Southwest Florida.

Based upon successful management of APRIA/NCH Healthcare System joint venture,

recruited by NCH EVP and CFO to create, staff and oversee operations for multi-site

outpatient NCH HOME MEDICAL SERVICES department. Executing all revenue

management, business, staff and budget development responsibilities, created seamless

integrated network for Medicare home health ordering and delivery systems for

healthcare organization with $475 Million in annual operating revenues . Hired,

directed 42-member staff, crafted home health referral policy in accordance with JCAHO, ICC

and Safe Harbors laws, negotiated 2 favorable hospital-vendor contracts with community HME,

RT and IV providers, and achieved all financial goals 2 consecutive years. Additional

accomplishments:

Obtained all state and federal permits/licensure, provider numbers,

accreditation as required by Medicare, Medicaid, ACHA, JCAHO and 3rd party

insurance companies.

Managed 350-400 multiple modality home healthcare patients with

seasonal decline to an average of 125 patients (Payer mix: 69% Medicare, 9%

Medicaid, 15% Commercial, 7% Indigent).

Developed measurable home healthcare business solutions tools for Case

Management and Social Services departments that significantly improved hospital

metrics by contributing to a .4-day reduction in LOS and readmission rates of

specific DRGs.
