Ogo handset launch. Gathered and documented requirements from business units, wrote specifications, developed test
protocols, and managed user acceptance for Tracfone’s first ever smartphone launch. This project necessitated careful risk
management throughout the development phases. As PM, I selected contracted developers, assigned project tasks,
managed complete project lifecycle. Served as liaison between PMO and Executive Group.
PCI compliance. Project Manager responsible for the successful implementation of a critical $3.6 million data security
compliance project. Responsibilities included management of multiple, simultaneous IT initiatives for bringing Tracfone
into security compliance with the major credit card companies. Led a team of seven developers, a systems architect, and
two PCI consultants. Solution was SOA based and compliant with PCI DSS industry standards for data encryption and
transmission. Provided extensive support through UAT to ensure the quality of the testing of the encryption system
components (IBM Websphere DataPower appliances) prior to go live. Provided guidance on change management.

Responsible for the technical direction of the company’s Unified Messaging and Sync Platforms. Successfully deployed a
Carrier grade high availability Sync platform (Solaris8, Oracle 8i, SUN Enterprise Servers, Alteon Load Balancers and an
EMC Storage Array). Sync Server enabled OTA synchronization of web based address and calendar applications with any
SyncML enabled cell phone or PDA. BT Cellnet subsequently purchased .5 million Openwave Sync licenses for their
MM02 cell service. Managed 30 member development team; production schedule, roadmap, cross functional and cross
company interoperability requirements, inter group project plans with SyncML Client Group in Newbury, England.
Authored white papers, requirements docs, marketing collateral and go to market program planning. SyncFest (SyncML
interoperability organization) team leader. Organized product rollout at CTIA Show San Diego.

Accentmail.com was the Internet’s first multi languge webmail site that enabled input/output of 45 languages (including
Kanji, Cyrillic, Mandarin). Multilingual mail was enabled through a Browser embedded Java applet and virtual keyboard
that eliminated the need for language localized Windows OS. Started company based on a friend’s Java application that
we later re engineered for webmail services. Site received several awards and national press coverage. Sold the company
in 1999 to an Israeli investment firm.
ReachCast, Inc.

ReachCast was an Israeli start up providing document management solutions. Company was reorganized as Olive
Software.
Responsible for adapting existing core technology to address a new market the PDF archival and retrieval needs of
Financial Analysts in large Financial Services companies. Performed anaylsis of existing technology, authored
requirements document and functional specs for an innovative content processing technology for batch converting PDF
files into enriched XML format. The platform solved a key issue with Adobe PDF file reusability (deconstruct, archive,
search, resolve in web browser) and succeeded in winning key customers Solomon Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.
