PROJECT: Pivotal Smart Client and Customization (Sedna)(Version 6.0):
ROLE: Senior QA Engineer
COMPANY: CDC Software, Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India
DURATION: Dec 2008-Oct 2009
Pivotal CRM platform has been moved to smart client in this version. It
supports Office Integration with Outlook. This provides certain migration
tools to migrate the components of earlier version into the 6.0.
The Customization is required to customize the application.
Responsibilities:
. Leading a team of 7 members in testing the Pivotal Smart Client project
. Devising software test strategy and plan and executing the same.
. Querying the databases using SQL.
. Comparing the values of 2 databases after upgrading the old database
. Data Validation testing of Rich-Client Application using SQL at the
back-end.
. Managing and tracking all the bugs logged by the team and also
monitoring the Test Cases executed by the team members.

Pivotal is a mid-enterprise CRM product which includes methodologies,
strategies, web-based applications that help an enterprise organize and
manage customer relationships.
CMS, Customer Management System is an out of the box solution containing,
Business Module (BM) and Enterprise Data(ED). BM contains Business logic,
Workflow, User Interface definitions and database schema for ED. ED
contains Customer related information, user defined business logic,
membership security information.
Responsibilities:
1. Writing the Test Cases
2. Creating Test Plans and Test Strategies
3. Reviewing the peer's Test Cases
4. Acceptance test case execution
5. Querying the BM and ED databases using SQL to verify the changes.
6. HP Quality center was used to execute the Test Cases and Test Plan and
to report the Defects.
PROJECT: Pivotal CMS Upgrade (Versions 5.1, 5.7 and 5.9)
ROLE: Sr QA Engineer

Pivotal CMS Upgrade is used to upgrade CMS to the latest version. As
Pivotal releases new version of CMS, there will be new features associated
with it. The customers can upgrade their current CMS to the latest version
using Pivotal CMS Upgrade package. This package contains a Transporter
(rtr) file which contains the newly introduced features such as Agents,
forms, table etc in the form of binary coding which should be imported into
the current system. This package also contains an Upgrade Guide which
describes the manual changes that needs to be made on the current system so
that it is upgraded to the latest version.
Responsibilities:
1. I took initiative in training my team members on the process of CMS
Upgrade
2. Verifying the CMS Upgrade Guide which is a part of this package
3. Modifying SQL scripts that set some flags in the Business Module (BM)

XML-based access method to the Pivotal Relationship system through the
Lifecycle Server (IIS). Wireless is an Employee-faced application, the key
users being Sales representatives and Marketing professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. I was the only person who worked on this project.
2. SQL Data validation testing to verify the authorization access of the
database.
3. I helped other team members in integrating Pivotal system with Pivotal
Wireless Application.

5. Testing the Compatibility of Pivotal Wireless 2.0 with higher versions
of Pivotal products.
PROJECT: Pivotal Call Scripting

This was a new project released by Pivotal. I am privileged to work on its
first release. Call Scripting is the application developed for Call Centre
industries. A Call Centre executive can create a script record which can be
used while attending an incoming or outgoing call. A Call center administer
can assign calls and manage the employees. It provided Smart portals which
lists the Calls specific to the employee or calls specific to the team
members. Calls on hold can be obtained from the database and finish it at a
later point of time. Overall this project was a huge success.
