Product Development:
Developed a line of attachment hardware for use by building maintenance
and commercial construction trades contractors. Created 3D CAD drawings,
made and tested samples, wrote and filed 3 utility patent applications.
Resulted in a clamp that attaches 4 times faster and is the best for
seismic apllications.
Production Management:
Managed a variety of manufacturing processes including progressive
stamping, forming, CNC punching, roll-forming, machining, assembly,
painting, welding and other related processes. Implemented new methods
and processes that led to continuing cost and service improvement.
Manufacturing Engineering:
Employed out of the box creativity to improve manufacturing processes.
Developed and implemented plant layout plans. Designed and implemented
the use of many fixtures and tools. Evaluated investment opportunities
on process changes and new equipment. Created many computer generated
reports used throughout the company. Determined root causes for quality
issues and initiated corrective actions.
Facility/Equipment Maintenance:
Managed plant maintenance activities through a maintenance supervisor and

projects including up to 10,000 individual parts through production.
Managed the operations for three major "Department of Defense" contracts.
Caused a reduction in labor from 30 hours to 8.5 hours per unit
improving profits by $307,000.
Shipping and Traffic:
Acted as the "Traffic Manager" and "Shipping Supervisor" for three years.
Supervised shipments including use of LTL, trucks, oversize trucks and
rail cars. Coordinated the exporting of a complex mix of equipment via
ocean freight utilizing both container and crating methods.
