Study with Autologous Dendritic Cells Loaded with Oncofetal Antigen iLRP in
Patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer (IND 13532)
• Meet regularly with physicians to review, revise order sets, and develop new
pathways and order sets for next phase of study.
• Screen potential patients regarding eligibility for enrollment into clinical trials
through discussion with principle investigator, patient’s oncologist, review of
medical information and discussion with the patient.
• Meet with Principle Investigator when necessary to review eligibility of potential
study patients.
• Perform apheresis on study patient.
• Responsible for giving investigational cancer treatment to patient.
• Monitor changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate action is taken for
patients exhibiting any adverse reaction during course of treatment.
• Responsible for protocol compliance through comprehension, delegation of
responsibilities and education of staff and patients to meet FDA standards.
• Education of patients and family regarding protocol and schedule of events. This
includes apheresis, lab test, vascular catheter, and growth factor, investigational
cancer treatment, monitoring site of injection, patient’s diary, discharge, and
reportable signs and symptoms of adverse events.
• Cross train in the responsibilities of Regulatory Coordinator to enable smooth
operation in times of her absence.
• Perform follow-up of each patient, reporting all data to radiologist, scientist,
physicians, and principle investigator.
