Description of duties performed daily:
Conduct all aspects of clerical duties including but not limited to;
control manager's calendar, correspondence, filing and retrieval of files.
Maintain calendar for manager and support staff ensuring availability,
scheduling appointments and meetings, including reserving facilities and
obtaining and assembling support materials, provide reminders of important
meetings and engagements.
Conduct communication with manager's direct reports through email,
memorandums, and phone calls as well as in person.
Answer phones; work with customers to resolve issues, screen calls
directing individuals to the appropriate department or persons.
Answer correspondence from customers, business contacts and union
officials.
Make travel arrangements for manager and staff; ensuring all internal
approvals and external documents are arranged, all travel logistics are
comprehensively managed and reconcile credit card statements upon return.
Order office supplies, refreshments for meetings, reconcile credit card
statements, review staff credit card reconciliation to ensure correctness
before submission for manager's signature.
Coordination and distribution of mail and email, prioritizing and providing
relevant background information, allocating responsibilities for action
items highlighting/monitoring important items that require immediate
attention as well as undertaking responsibility by answering correspondence
and submitting to manager for signature.
Assist in coordination and execution of special projects and assignments
within the executive leadership team, creating, proofreading and editing
documents and Power Point presentations for completeness and accuracy.
Provide back-up support for the office of other Executives in the
organization as needed.

Prior to my experience as assistant manager, customer service, I worked for
Szabo Food Service Company that was under contract by Pratt and Whitney
Aircraft, East Hartford CT as assistant manager/bookkeeper of 3
kitchen/dinning rooms with 20 employees. 1977-1980
