Selected Project Highlights
Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino Lead Engineer on one of the Podium levels;
assumed additional responsibilities as Area Manager when the Project
Manager was reassigned in the early stages of the build out. Worked with
owner representatives to provide cost analyses and help to move process
forward to reduce scheduling impact and minimize financial exposure.
Leveraged many opportunities to think "outside the box" to resolve field
conditions that impacted design while maintaining schedule.
YouthVille Detroit Project Manager to rehabilitate an existing 75,000 SF
mixed-use facility to provide an activity center, tenant leasable space,
and a new gymnasium. A small, yet challenging project due to financial
constraints and latent conditions. Majority of building was structurally
sound, one elevation on the exterior facade required replacement of
deteriorated brick and addition of structural reinforcement to accommodate
the new curtain wall system.
MGM Detroit Casino Contract Manager for construction of a temporary
casino. Sourced and identified subcontractors and vendors, developed
requests for quotation, assembled bid packages, and evaluated bids. Made
recommendations to owner regarding contract award decisions. Worked closely
with City of Detroit officials, as well as MGM executive management.
Premier Garage Project Engineer for construction of an underground parking
structure designed and built to support a future 15 to 18 story high-rise
building. Utilized a Mat Foundation requiring 20,000 cubic yards of
concrete and a tie-back system to stabilize the exterior foundation.
Encountered uncharted electrical tunnels, existing foundations and
uncharted water lines during soil stabilization.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
Prepare and submit documentation for all construction related system for
architectural and building components.
Approve all shop drawings of all components for size, dimensions, and
layout to ensure all items work with all other components. Update field
construction drawings to reflect current changes.
Write and respond to RFIs for questions covering any aspect of the
construction process including structural, MEP, and architectural issues on
the prints.
Demonstrate expertise in exterior systems including poured in place
concrete, precast panels, curtain wall, brick, stucco, metal panels, doors
and hardware, and roofing.
Oversee a wide range of site work such as underground utilities, traffic
signals, storm drain, curbs, sidewalks, and street paving.
Conduct weekly and monthly OSHA updates for all workers on the job site
concerning safety. Evaluate employee safety data, and promote safe work
practices.
Highly skilled interviewing and sourcing vendors and subcontractors locally
and regionally to meet specific project demands and requirements.
Cultivate a solid team of employees and subcontractors that work together
to complete quality projects consistently on time and well within budgetary
constraints.
Manage subcontractor scheduling. Monitor and appropriately adjust timelines
for any deviations, shortages, and changes, through the completion of each
building phase.
Develop three-week look-ahead schedules for subcontractor weekly meetings.
Coordinate the work of all contractors to meet construction schedule and
the related project milestones.
Review subcontractor site-specific safety plans for their own scopes of
work.
Attend meetings with customers, architects, trade contractors, zoning
boards, and government officials, developing strong working relationships.
Maintain meticulous records of building progress, document any issues, and
report to client executives on a weekly and monthly basis.
