OBJECTIVE:
To re-enter into the teaching profession in a position that will utilize my
work experience and educational background in Early Child Development. My
mission is to strengthen and expand the various learning abilities of each
student to help to bring out the potential that they possess by teaching
them to explore and discover the love of learning within a safe and
nonjudgmental educational environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Exposure to all childhood developmental stages from infancy through
adolescence gained from prior teaching background, volunteer
activities and life experience from raising five children
* Patient and adaptable teaching style which is utilized to reach
special needs students who are classified as being ADD/ADHD,
emotionally disturbed, developmental delayed, dyslexic, socially
maladjusted and neurologically, perceptually, speech or language
impaired
* Knowledgeable of current teaching methodologies including interactive
lessons, co-op education and language arts by combining phonics and
computer literate components
* Successful in using a reward system to encourage positive behavior and
to raise expectation levels

Toddler Instructor. Provided a safe, nurturing and supportive
environment while promoting social, emotional, motor and cognitive
development. Assisted with group play and arts and crafts.
Interacted with co-workers, supervisors and parents in a professional
manner.
May, 2007 to October, 2007:
Kids Korner Preschool, San Jose, CA-Instructor. Supervised two and
three year olds within a Preschool setting while adhering to the Head
Instructor's curriculum. Provided individualized instruction on
various classroom projects. Created a learning environment that
fostered creativity while promoting self-dependency.
August, 2003 to September, 2006:
Good Samaritan United Methodist Preschool/Daycare Center, Cupertino,
CA-Instructor. Supervised infants and toddlers from the age of
newborn to two years old. Assisted in the planning and implementation
of the daily curriculum activities. Assisted in setting up and
serving lunch and snacks and sleeping materials for nap time.
