2007 - Present • National Composing Supervisor
Project manager for the migration of 5 national titles from the Clearwater composing facility to Norfolk Composing. Duties included
gathering data regarding workflow, ad types and sizes, along with ad booking procedures and book pagination. Worked with software
technicians to develop database templates using Filemaker Pro and book pagination templates using Quark Xpress and (CLS) Classified
Layout System along with product testing. Instrumental in the transitioning of moving the national teams from (DMS) Database
Management System to a newly purchased software package called Miles 33 in June of 2008. Responsible for gathering information for
ad types and sizes, inputting data into the Miles 33 database, template development and conducting many product testing. Work directly
with product managers to generate their monthly national titles. Responsibilities include creating web graphics, page layouts and
promotional packages using QuarkXpress and Adobe CS programs. Weekly communication with the printing facilities to confirm receipt
of product, deadlines and/or resolve print concerns. Generate weekly and monthly revenue reports.
2003 - 2007 • Composing Supervisor Trained and supervised staff to ensure daily and weekly deadlines were met. Ensured weekly titles
met product standards prior to releasing the files to the printing plants.
2000 - 2003 • Composing Manager Supervised, hired, managed and mentored production department staff. Conducted annual
performance evaluations. Tracked production department workflow. Worked closely with sales departments to ensure timely
construction of targeted weekly magazines, annual publications, as well sales and marketing materials. Communicated directly with the
printing plants. Generated financial reports.
1998 - 2000 • Assistant Composing Manager Implemented workflow to streamline insertion of display advertising into publications,
which reduced the error rate. Implemented an electronic upload of files to composing from sales. Trained and supervised staff to ensure
daily and weekly deadlines were met.
1996 - 1998 • Graphic Artist Utilized Quark Xpress to design graphics, promotional material and page layouts for display advertisements
that ran in several weekly photo-classified publications circulated throughout the Southeast Region of the United States. Electronically
imposed publications with Managing Editor (Advance Layout System & Classified Layout System) and Filemaker Pro.
