procedures, work instructions, and forms as necessary to remain in

compliance with QS 9000 and customer requirements, instructing in quality

related subject matter & basic statistical process control, also dealing

directly with customer concerns and Quality issues. Gage Calibration,

capability studies, and R&R studies on measuring equipment as well as Flow

Diagrams, Control Plans, & (Process) Potential Failure Mode Effects

Analysis documentation. Obtain samples of all raw materials used at Salga

Plastics, send to ABC Group Lab for annual testing, and Document Results

for inclusion in PPAP packages for product as needed. Perform Internal

System Audits. CUSTOMERS include Nissan and GM (as a tier 1 supplier),

Delphi, Dana, and TRW(as a tier 2 supplier).

Imperial Fabricating, Portland TN "Production Part Verification

Coordinator". Verify Dimensional Accuracy of First article samples, Write

measurement programs for Zeiss DB900 C. M.M. with U-Soft software, Track

new product quality in process recording progress in database, Calibrate

and track gages used in all production processes using IQS Calibrate &

Advanced Gage Control Software. Contact suppliers and customers regarding

problems and concerns about new products. Instructing in related subjects

including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, measuring instrument use

and blueprint reading. Position requires use of Microsoft Access, Excel,

and Word as well as the CMM Computer software. Uses Cadkey light & AutoCAD

14 in gage design. Assist in procedure development for QS9000, rev.3.

CUSTOMERS include: Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Sterling, Mack, &

other class 8 truck mfgs.

Carter Automotive Co. Lafayette, TN "Layout & Gage Control Specialist"

Perform first piece and annual layout of new and existing components and

sub-assemblies from suppliers. First piece lay-out on new dies and tooling

in house. Measure dimensions on production parts not possible to measure

on the production floor. Write measurement programs for Numerex CMM with

Unimeasure software. Calibrate gages and track them on Advanced Gage

Control software. Some gage design required as well as instructing for

specialized equipment. CUSTOMERS included: Ford, General Motors, and

Chrysler Corp.

July 1978 to Sept. 1988

Eaton Axle & Brake Div. Gallatin, TN "Process Inspector" first two

years, "Receiving Inspector" next eight years. Precision measurement of

axle and brake parts produced in house and purchased from suppliers.

Verification of dimensions on raw materials and sub-assemblies purchased

from suppliers. Extensive use of Boise C.M.M. Conducted measurement studies

on competitors brake assemblies, axles, and components. CUSTOMERS included:

all the major class 8 truck mfgs. Facility was closed in 1988 to

consolidate operations into other plants and import components previously

produced in Gallatin. After this I worked a short time (1989) at the Eaton

Transmission plant in Shelbyville, TN.
